Bob's obituary
Bob Bishopric, 76, peacefully passed away on December 18, 2023 after a fierce battle for recovery following a bike accident. We are all so proud of how strong he was, and happy that he can now rest in peace.
Born to Anne and Karl Bishopric, he was the eldest of three boys, Jimmy, Bruce, and of course Bob. Bob loved his parents and both his brothers deeply, and is survived by Bruce Bishopric as well as his stepmom Carmen Bishopric and step sisters Jannette and Kathy. Bob met Susan Bishopric, a strong and passionate soul, whom he married and had his first daughter with, Katy Bishopric. They both instilled Katy with kindness, wit, and a love of family that she has carried to her own family, her loving husband Dan and two adorable boys, Bryce and Cole. Bob then met Christine Barney, whose warmth shines bright, and they married and had their daughter Alexa Bishopric. They raised their butterfly-loving little girl into a young woman who has made a life of her own in DC. Bob had the fortune of meeting his wife Kathy, someone whose compassion for others is a limitless well of kindness. They married in a beautiful ceremony by the beach in Miami, the place they both called home for most of their lives. In over 20 years of marriage, Bob and Kathy built a beautiful love that carried him through some of the happiest years of his life. They shared pets Pete, Lorna Doone, and Betty Boop, and moved up to central Florida to live a life of retired bliss, full of fishing and sunrises. Before his retirement, Bob held a lifelong passion for connecting with others, and that shone brightly through his two careers of advertising and real-estate. Words came easy to him, coining the slogan "the few, the proud, the marines" and connecting with families to help them find their South Florida homes. Bob was a strong, kind, loving, and supportive husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend. He loved his family fiercely, and his family has no doubt about how much he loved them. Rest in peace Bob, you are in our hearts forever and always.
