Blanche's obituary

Blanche "Dude" Lawson Sowell was welcomed home by her Lord and Savior on March 17, 2024.

Burial has already taken place at Great Lakes National Cemetery, where she was laid to rest with her Husband Loren Edward Sowell. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday at 12pm, March 23, 2024 at Cornerstone Church of God. With the Reverends Eric Rogers and Don Dennis officiating .

Blanche was born November 19, 1933 in Bell City, the daughter of Andrew and Alma (Owens) Delay.

Blanche was a proud mother, grandmother, and friend. Her faith and family were the most important to her and making sure her children and grandchildren knew the word of God. Blanche enjoyed reading a good book and singing along to some of her favorite tunes.

She married Loren Sowell in Doniphan on August 14, 1982. He later predeceased her on November 18, 2010.

Blanche's life work was serving the Lord and spreading his word to anyone in need.

Blanche is survived by her children, Merry Hileman, Mollie (Ross) Loveall, Rebecca Gager-O'Conner, Jody (John) Tomac, and Suzie (Tim) Thayer; 15 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; along with several other loving family and friends.

She was predeceased by her Husband, Loren E Sowell, sons, Thomy and Paul Rogers, parents, Andrew and Alma Delay, 8 brothers, 5 sisters.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Cornerstone Church of God.
