I will always love grandma and she will always hold a special place in my heart. Growing up she always told me to Focus and pursue the things that I told her I wanted to do. She often referred to me as her “intelligent one” and her “smiling face” I am so happy to have spent my high school years living with her. Being her roommate and home attendant were the best years of my life and we have some special memories that I will never forget. I made her laugh and she made me laugh many times. She told me about her life stories and her memory was always intact. Grandma’s house was like a second home to my siblings and I we all were blessed to have her be in our childhood as well as watch us all grow up into adults.  I will miss her phone calls and visiting her on my holiday breaks, she was the only reason I went back to New York. One thing that will live on forever is her legacy. She was a woman of God and a fighter. Through and through to the end she gave her all. In and out the hospital, she went through so much pain, aches and struggles holding on for us. I am happy she is now at peace and no longer has to suffer anymore. She can now breathe freely without the oxygen tank, she can sleep as comfortable as ever on the best pillows, she can now stand on her feet without a walker or a wheelchair. Thank you grandma for living such a beautiful life and sharing it with all of us. You will be missed dearly, but never forgotten! One love forever ❤️

Dear Maria and family,

I am so sorry to hear of the loss of this incredible woman. Wishing you all peace and love during this difficult time. Hugs,Laura

Dear Maria and family please accept my sincerest condolences on the passing of your mother.

May you find comfort in the peace of God and in the memories of your mom. It was a pleasure to have known her. What a beautiful soul. She will be greatly missed.

I'm extending my heartfelt condolences to the Dopwell family on the loss of their beloved matriarch, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother etc. To me, Mrs. Dopwell, affectionately known as 'Mom', was my second mother. From the very first day that I met her (as a teenager) until our very last phone conversation a few days before she earned her wings -- she was always very kind and loving to me. I'm so grateful for the honor and privilege to have benefited from her love, fellowship, wisdom and prayers over these last 38½ years.  She definitely has a permanent place in my heart. It's not goodbye; but, "So long for now, Mom". I love you🕊🙏🏾🤍...
