Sorry to hear about her passing. She was a bright light, charming , dignified and an intellect. We graduated law school together. Enjoyed those days with her. My sincere condolences.

Balance and I met at Drew University in 1970, her freshman and my sophomore year. We spent a year together creating memories before I transferred to Simmons University. I loved her infectious laugh, great smile, quiet leadership style, and huge Afro! Those were the days.

We stayed in touch over the years creating more memories…lunch or dinner her when she came to NYC to see 2-3 plays in one weekend…luncheons with many of my friends when I came to DC… long telephone calls filled stories about Drew, our careers, and our families. I’m so happy she found the love of her life, Sheldon! She loved, and was so proud of her precious daughters, Samantha and Mackenzie! 

I feel lucky and blessed to have known Blanche for so many years, and will always treasure our friendship!

Top Drew U Hyera Black Student Union where Blanche served as President, Blanche spent many holidays with Cleo & family in the Bronx - I can't believe she was reading the NY Post or was that the Daily News, Cleo standing in as Maid of honor at Blanche & Sheldon's wedding; Drew mates at the wedding from left to right Waltrine, Andy, Blanche, ?, & Cleo; Drew girls at Cleo's wedding from left to right Yvonne "Damali", Cleo, Waltrine, Blanche, & Iris.

Blanche and I met as freshmen in 1970 at Drew University. She was focused, determined, smart, funny, and original. I was blessed to have known her throughout our college days and the years thereafter. To Blanche's family, I extend my heartfelt condolences. May Blanche's memory be a blessing.

I met Blanche when we were AUSA’s back in the late 80’s and she was so helpful and patient with me when I moved from the Superior Court to the USDC side. She was bright, witty and unflappable and she had such balance and sound judgment. After I transferred to the USAO in Maine we lost touch, but I thought of her often and fondly. A wonderful soul. My deepest condolences.
