Born on May 13, 1936 to the late James and Cora Martin, Blanche being the youngest of her 12 siblings, graduated from Old McCormick High School in 1954. She decided to leave her small town and move to Queens, NY in 1956. Shortly after arriving to the big city she met and married her late husband Arthur James Williams in 1957.
