Blackie's obituary
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Blackie Manning, a beacon of joy and happiness, who left this world on September 1, 2012. Born in 1993, Blackie led a life full of simplicity, delight, and lessons that belied her age. Her lively persona and indomitable spirit were an embodiment of the saying she loved: "Dynamite comes in small packages".
Blackie leaves behind a loving family who cherished her every moment. She is survived by her Mother, Donna Manning, her Grandmother, Jean Manning, and her Grandfather, Abbie Manning. She was predeceased by family member, Brandy Manning. Each of them holds unique and beautiful memories of Blackie that will live on in their hearts.
She had an affinity for simple pleasures that brought joy to her and those around her. A connoisseur of cheese, Blackie's love for this particular food was unmatched. Pair that with her favorite drink, Dr. Pepper, and it sure was a feast to behold. She was an ardent fan of Def Leppard, and their music often resonated in her surroundings. A supporter of the Dallas Stars, her excitement during their games was infectious.
Blackie had a playful side too. Her favorite game, Blanket Monster, was a source of endless amusement. She loved her recreational activities, especially napping, and her favorite way to exercise was a simple walk in the backyard. These seemingly small hobbies filled her life with serenity and peace.
One of her most significant accomplishments, which brought joy to us all, was opening her own Christmas presents. It was a sight that warmed all hearts and will be a cherished memory forever.
Blackie was often described as a happy soul. Her radiant smile, her contented disposition, her love for life, was infectious and touched the lives of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed, but her happiness and joy will continue to be a source of inspiration and solace for all.
In Blackie's memory, instead of flowers, we are raising funds for "Best Friends Animal Society." If you would like to contribute to this noble cause, you can do so at https://everloved.com/life-of…. It is a way to honor Blackie's love for animals and keep her spirit alive.
We take comfort in knowing that Blackie's life was a melody of memorable moments, love, happiness, and lasting impressions. She lived life on her terms, proving that indeed, dynamite comes in small packages.
