Birley's obituary
We mourn the loss of Birley Tyer, who passed away on January 7, 2025. Born on June 13, 1971, Birley lived a life full of laughter, love, and kindness. His outgoing, funny, and witty personality touched all those who knew him.
Birley is survived by his loving wife, Melysa Tyer, and their son, Robert Peters. He also leaves behind his step-children, Amber Kirkland and Leanne Gaskins, and his sister Wendy Crawford. Birley's joy in life extended to his grandsons, Jayvian Yarbrough, Raygen Powell, Kamdyn Yarbrough, Noah Oliver, and Asher Oliver, who will deeply miss their Pepaw.
He was predeceased by his mother, Juanita Tyer, his father, Bruce Tyer, brother Alan Tyer and sister Kathy Moog. Their memories hold a special place in his heart, and they continue to live on in him.
Known for his avid love for food, Birley never turned down a good meal. He enjoyed a chilled can of Busch light and his music taste leaned towards the rock legend, Ozzy Osbourne, particularly the song 'Mama I'm Coming Home'. An avid fan of the movie 'Mad Max', Birley was also a dedicated supporter of the Gators sports team.
His favorite recreations were spending time with his dogs, who were his faithful companions. Vacationing at Ormond Beach was always a special time for Birley. The simple color Grey described him the best - modest and unassuming, yet strong and stable.
Birley's favorite saying was to live life to its fullest. He stood as an example, showing us all that each moment is precious and should be lived with joy. One of his notable accomplishments was his proficiency in fencing, a testament to his dedication and perseverance.
His legacy of kindness and generosity will continue to live on. As we remember Birley, we celebrate a life well-lived, filled with love, laughter, and countless memories. His absence will be deeply felt by all of us who were fortunate to have known him.
