RIP Coach Bing.Â
Thank you for the hours spent playing basketball at Monastery, and just having a space to be with friends and spend time together, will stay in my heart forever.Â
Coach Bing taught me the value of hard work, discipline, and the importance of just showing up. I always looked to you for tough love and honesty and I'm so grateful to have been one of your players.
I pray for peace for everyone who is affected by this loss. Thank you, Coach Bing.Â

Rest in Peace Kuya Bing.  There was a time in my life when Saturday mornings can only consist of one thing and that was meeting you and Ate May  at the gym and getting the day prepared for all the CYO games to be played that day. I didn’t realize till now but you gave me my first job working those concession stands. Being paid in free hot dogs and soda was everything that I needed. Thank you for everything that you have taught me on and off the court Kuya Bing. Your love and compassion, not only for the game but also for the people that played it and all the families that were apart of it, will genuinely be missed.  Love you always Kuya BingÂ

Some of my favorite childhood memories come from playing basketball at Monastery CYO, and Bing played such a big role in those years. I was the last in my family that he coached (he also coached my two older brothers) — he took me in as a five-year-old and even put me on the boys’ team. From the very beginning, he made me feel like I belonged.
He truly cared about the kids. I still smile thinking about how he used to tease me for eating hot dogs with no hot dog — just ketchup on a bun. It was his way of connecting and making you feel seen.
I remember having two games in one day and twisting my ankle during the first one. By the second game, it was badly swollen, but I still showed up and played. Bing wasn’t focused on the score — he noticed the effort and praised me simply for being there and pushing through. That meant more to me than any win.
Bing taught us what basketball was really about: respect, sportsmanship, and character, not just winning. My brothers and I grew up playing at Monastery, and the lessons he taught us stayed with us long after we left the court.
The Kilpatrick family is deeply saddened by his passing. Even though we didn’t keep in touch throughout the years, Bing left a lasting impact on our lives, and we will always be forever grateful to him.
Rest in peace, Bing.
