Bill's obituary

Bill Wooten went home to Jesus on December 20, 2020 at age 71.

Bill was born to Dudley and Zelma Wooten on April 24, 1949 in Odessa, Texas. He graduated from Odessa High School and at the age of 20 years old was drafted in 1969 where he served three years in the military and earned his ground vehicle mechanics certificate.

In addition to being a dedicated and loving father and husband, Bill also loved fishing trips, his country and guns. He was kind, loving and giving to anyone he met. Bill loved to hang out with family and play the guitar. Towards the end of his life, he became a believer in Jesus Christ and would get upset with those who bashed God.

Bill joins his parents Dudley & Zelma Wooten, brothers Terry, Nicky, Allen, Curt, & Tom Wooten, Robert and Dub Keesee, children Billy Shane, Shar and Tony Wooten in Heaven.
He is survived by wife Robin Wooten, ex-wife Janice Mitchell, children Gene Wooten, Mindy Wooten, Angel & Faisal Akhtar, Dayna Nicholson, Chelsea & Frank Williams, Robin & Michael White, brother James Wooten, sister Joyce Keesee, grandchildren Matthew Perkins, Brandon Wooten, Meranda Woods, Ashilee Monroe, Brytini Haley, Angie Holsey, Chris Wooten, Micheal Wooten, Jonathan Wooten, Troy Wooten, Jesika Morales, Danyal Akhtar, Caden McNeil, Cole McNeil, Ava Hendrickson, Randy Christie, Jason Christie, Brandon Nicholson, Shane Nicholoson, Jacob Young, Julieanna Ashworth, Roxanne Wagoner, Bruce Wagnor Jr, plus lots of beautiful great grandbabies.

Ecclesiastes 7:1 A good name is better than precious ointment, and the day of death than the day of birth.

Romans 14:7-9 For none of us lives to himself, and none of us dies to himself. For if we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord. So then, whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lord’s. For to this end Christ died and lived again, that he might be Lord both of the dead and of the living.
