Billy's obituary

Mr. Billy Uselton was born on December 14, 1959, in the city of Oklahoma City. Billy passed away on April 23, 2023 in Oklahoma City.

Billy spent his childhood years living in Choctaw, Oklahoma. Bill Uselton graduated from Choctaw High School in 1978, he went on after high school to Rose State College and later University of Central Oklahoma  to pursue a degree in education to teach history.

During his professional career as a teacher at Choctaw Middle School and Choctaw High School, he leaves a legacy of being one of the best educators the schools have ever seen, capturing the attentions of many students as he brought history to life.  Not only is he remembered for creating a passion for history, but his kindness to his students which will live on.

Bill spent most of his days reading about an array of topics from World War I, World War II, The Civil War, The Old West, Topics in African History specifically the Zulus, Egypt, Soviet History, Anthropology, Dinosaurs, Biology, and one of his favorites different cookbooks.  He had a passion for so many subjects and loved sharing his passions to others.

There is no one like Bill Uselton whose students loved him and remembered him decades later as their favorite teacher. Bill was larger than life and was always the teacher someone could go to for anything.

Bill is remembered by his family, friends, students, colleagues and so many people he touched over the years. Truly, there is no filling this void. He was one of a kind and a wonderful man that spread joy wherever he went.

Per Bill's request, there will be no funeral service.  In lieu of flowers we are asking for donations to be sent to his GoFundMe page to help cover the medical expenses that have accrued over the last two months and to go towards the cremation expenses.
