Billy's obituary
Billy Meredith, a beloved patriarch and faithful follower of Christ, born in 1941, departed from this world on June 4, 2024. He was a man of diligence, whose steadfast commitment to hard work made a profound impact on his community. His dedication not only touched his workplace at HeatCraft but was also evident in his many volunteer contributions with his church, Friendship Baptist.
Billy leaves behind his three children, Bill, Jason, and Lee Ann as well as his many grandchildren who share in the grief of his passing. The children through their memories of Billy, will continue to celebrate his life — a life marked by a work ethic that never waned and spiritual values that remained. His commitment to his family and his community stands as an enduring testament to the importance of his faith.
Billy’s legacy is not just one of his love of his children and his commitment to hard work but also of his love for his wife Barbara. Billy never stopped loving Barbara even after her passing in 1999, and Billy always made it a point to teach his grandchildren about the legacy of his wife Barbara. Billy will be buried next her at the Woodlawn cemetery.
As we mourn his physical absence, the memory of Billy Meredith will carry on with his family and all those who knew and loved him.
