Billy's obituary

It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Billy "Wild Man" Coggins on December 5, 2024. Born on January 22, 1973, Billy, fondly recognized as Wild Man by his friends, was known for his straightforward personality. He was a man of few words, yet his life was filled with significant actions and meaningful relationships.

Billy enjoyed life's simple pleasures. One of his favorite pastimes was sharing a beer with his friends, an activity that allowed his jovial spirit and genuine camaraderie to reveal themselves fully. He understood the value of friendship and community and often found himself at the center of many memorable social gatherings.

Billy leaves a loving family behind. His beloved wife, Jessica Coggins, stood by his side, sharing both life’s triumphs and challenges, adding a depth to his life that was cherished. His precious daughter, Dixie Coggins, was a source of great joy and pride for him, and his love for her was evident in their close relationship. Also mourning Billy's passing is his caring mother, Lou Coggins, who was a continuous source of strength and inspiration throughout his life.

He was a dedicated brother to Terry Coggins, Shannon McGee, and Amy Coggins. Their mutual bonds of love, respect, and shared memories will forever keep Billy's presence alive in their hearts. Billy's loss will also be deeply felt by a wide circle of friends, colleagues, and acquaintances.

Billy lived his life with a candid authenticity that is rare in this world. His straight-forward personality was what endeared him to everyone. He faced life with a blunt honesty, a quality that, coupled with his sense of humor, made him a unique and memorable personality. His life, though shortened, was a testament to living one's truth and cherishing the vital bonds of human connection.
