The love he had for animals

In Loving Memory of My Dad, Billy Joe Cozens 🌹
It’s been three months since I lost my father, Billy Joe Cozens, and there isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t miss him deeply. He was only 55, and though his life was full of hardship, he always poured love into his family, his work, and the people around him.
My dad loved his children with his whole heart—there are six of us—and we always knew we were his greatest treasure. When I was sick and in the hospital for 30 days, he never left my side. That’s the kind of father he was: steady, loyal, and full of love.
He found joy in the simple things—his morning coffee, cooking his famous biscuits and gravy, caring for animals, and reading the Bible. He taught us to love God, to work hard, and to always hold on to faith, even when life gets heavy.
His passing, by suicide, has left a hole in our hearts, but I know his spirit is at peace now. I wish he could have seen how much he was loved and how much he is missed. I will carry his memory, his lessons, and his love with me for the rest of my life.
Rest in peace, Dad. You were one of the most genuine people I’ve ever known. I love you forever. 🤍
