I'm so glad I had the chance to meet and visit with Billie at Marita and David's wedding. It sounds like we had so much in common! I wish I'd had the opportunity to spend more time with her.

My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Love, Maureen
Dick and I were so blessed to be a part of her life after we moved to Austin.  She was such a delight to be around.  She reminded me of Erma Bombec (if any of you are old enough to remember who she is.) She had a God given ability to find a bit of Humor or in any  situation.   Her children, David and Laura are living testaments to how she lived and passed on her desire for justice for everyone.  A perfect example of a life we’ll lived. Billie, thanks for the memories.

I keep this photo with all of my photos with good friends through the years. Billie and Lynn were our neighbors in El Paso and soon became our family, too. When they moved away we felt their loss, and still do.

Billie was such a lovely lady. She taught English at EPCC part-time when I was division chair. Her students loved her.  She was a delightful hostess for a book club we were both part of. I was very fond of this sweet lady. Lost track of her after that. My sincere condolences to the family.

Billie and I went through the MSSW program at UTEP/UTA together. She was such a wise woman. Whenever I drive past her little house over by the university, I think of her and wonder how she is doing. She was a force. I am fortunate to have known her.
