After three years you would think that missing Billee so intensely would lessen . . . I don’t want it to!

What was the most fun I had with Billee? In my mind I am still enjoying running through all the fun times with Billee.
So far I am having a hard time narrowing down the best to even a few.🥰🥰🥰

Everyone knew Billee was about Love.
She lived “God is Love”. not a doctrine, not a religion.

Billee's mother Betty was my first friend in Alamogordo. I taught her brother Jim and have a wonderful piece of art on my wall that he created. I am so sorry to learn of her passing.

I am so sad to hear about Billee's passing. We were good friends growing up. We pulled some shenanigans and had a wonderful time doing it. Either she was at my house or I was at hers. I always hoped I would see her at a HS reunion but never did. My condolences to her sister Betty and her brother Jim and her whole family. RIP Billee!!!!!!!

I am so sorry that I only learned of Billee’s passing today! She was indeed a beautiful woman with a soul that matched her beauty. The pictures posted here show how happy you made each other. Much love from Diana and me to you and Jayme and all the girls.

I met Billee when she and Henry were looking for a new school for Sarah. I was the sixth grade teacher and invited them to see our play about King Henry II and Eleanor of Aquitaine. Billee brought her to see the play and begin to see the students who would, if Sarah wanted, to be her classmates. I was struck by Billee's wise, loving smile, her heart warmed by Sarah being mesmerized by what she was witnessing. At the end of the play, when Sarah ran up to me, filled with excitement, Billee stayed a few feet behind, lovingly observing with that little smile, allowing Sarah to take the lead.
Billee was such a love; our whole family loved her. Although I haven't seen her in over 20 years, I know she will be deeply missed by the many people whose lives she touched. We love you, Henry, and are thinking about you and surrounding you with love. Remember she's not far away.

Only God could pack so much into so small a package. On one side, her less than five feet stood a solid six foot four. Her other side could honest to goodness coax a bird from a tree. It’s an honor to call her my little sister and my friend. 💕

I’ll always remember her showing us how to care for and rehab the baby blue jay at your house. She was powerful, loving, and eager to teach. She will always live on in you. Love you.

My condolences to Billee's family. I became
Acquainted with Billee when I officed close to Henry in 1998. Spending time on many occasions talking to both Henry and his assistant, Peggy, I heard “hard-as-nails” stories about Peggy’s fight with her health issues. It was clear to all how much everyone in Bille’s family adored her. A mother to so many beautiful and intelligent girls is a testament to her substantial contribution to the world. I’m sorry I did not know her better. I was able to feel her empowering aura through some of the people closest to her-Henry, Jayme and Peggy. Please know how I hold those Billee loved in the highest regard and will be sending healing and mindful thoughts to those who lost so much on December 31st.
Love,
Kyle Lowe

What a delight it was to have met Billee. It was the first time ever in a teepee, echoing her hearty laugh & wonderful stories. She was a legend in her own rite.

My first memory of her...
I was three years old and I would visit my dad's law office sometimes... The place was boring: there was nowhere to play, nothing to do and people told me to be quiet. Over in the corner, a pretty young smiling blonde lady was working... (I don't remember that first moment of introduction, but looking back it's easy to imagine that warm friendly Billee-energy just found me, like it has found hundreds of other lonely people around her). She showed me her desk and was the nicest woman in the whole world. In her drawer, there was a red heart-shaped candle that smelled good and I loved it. Soon I was sitting on her lap and she was telling me stories and painting my toenails.
It became my way of life, that when they dragged me to my Dad's work, I would not even go up to his office. I beelined for Billee's desk. We would open her drawer where she kept my favorite things, we would smell the heart candle, paint toes... Eventually she may have had to type something and I thought is was so rude of the boring people to interrupt us. I clung dearly to the bright spot of magic she made for me.
(Eventually, she told me stories of her beloved daughters, who were far away then. And more eventually, she started to hang out with my dad ;)
