Beverly Porter Patrick, of Paintsville, Ky, passed away early Friday morning, December 27, 2019, at the age of 78.

Beverly received her BA in education at Morehead State University, where she met her husband, Ransome Porter, who preceded her in death on December 20, 1995. They had three children, Stephen Porter, who preceded her death on October 30, 2019, Kim Bryant, of Lexington, Ky and David Porter, of Paintsville, Ky.

Beverly was a dedicated and loving elementary school teacher for 40 years, spending most of those years at Tomahawk Elementary, Tomahawk, Ky. She enjoyed shaping the lives of young children and was innovative and progressive in her teaching methods. She was nominated and received many awards in her field, and was loved and admired by her peers and students. Upon her retirement, Beverly enjoyed maintaining her flower gardens and spending time with her grandchildren.

Beverly will be loved and missed by her surviving children, her sister Janet Bailey, her nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and friends.

A Celebration of Life will take place on Sunday, January 12, 2020, at 2pm, at the home of her granddaughter, Jacqui Kinzig, at 1801 Cattlepath, Lexington, KY 40509.
