Beverly's obituary
last years of her life. Mrs. Milo was a wonderful mother who was involved in her children’s activities, and an integral part of their happiest memories. She worked first selling Avon, later in the local Lazarus department store, and finally in the Columbus, Ohio banking community, where she rose to the rank of branch manager. She was instrumental in her husband’s success as he earned his doctorate and began a long and accomplished career in cancer research at The Ohio State University.
In her retirement, Mrs. Milo enjoyed the warm weather of Florida, and summers in North Hero, Vermont. Some of her favorite things included beautiful wildflowers, well-tended gardens, a good glass of chardonnay, and Hallmark movies. She loved to travel, and was a frequent cruiser. She was a fabulous cook who made everyday meals special, and a master of complex recipes that made holidays more festive. She was generous with her talents as well as with her recipes. Her greatest joy was her family, and she doted on her grandchildren Alicia Bateson (Park), Lindsey Mortimer (Joe), Ayrinne Lattin (Ryan), Luke Lewis, Nick Milo, Caroline Milo, Jason Milo, Afton Milo, Joseph Milo (Caitlin), and Colin Milo. She was a loving great-grandmother to Denver, Sophia, Milo, Xavier, Ryker, and Rita.
The family will conduct Memorial Masses at their respective parishes to celebrate her life and give thanks for the many warm memories they share. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial gifts to St. Anne’s Shrine, 92 St. Anne’s Road, Isle La Motte, Vermont 05463, or online at saintannesshrine.org.
