Happy Birthday in heaven !

I had the honor of getting to know Bev when my son Landon began kindergarten with Dae at Cornerstone Community School. Throughout our friendship, one thing that was always crystal clear was that Bev absolutely loved her family - especially her two children - and they brought her HUGE amounts of joy. She shared with me how seeing their happiness brought her so much joy as a mom. Ty and Dae - I know that your mom would want you to have lots and lots of happiness and joy in the days and years ahead, even though it might seem really, really hard right now. Bev also had such a wonderful, giving heart. For example, when another of my friends was diagnosed with breast cancer after Bev had been, Bev gave her a bunch of "chemo supplies" (e.g., ice packs) to help with the process and offered to talk with her. My other friend was so comforted and touched by this. I am so very, very sorry and sad that Bev is no longer here with us on Earth, but I am comforted to know that she is with our Lord in heaven.

It has taken me a bit to write on here. My heart is broken and my tears are flowing. Bev meant so much to me my whole life. I idolized her growing up, she was 6 months older then me. As cousins we were blood relatives, but my heart she was like my sister... my friend. We spent weekends together doing stupid stuff.. she once fed me dog treats and pretended they were m&m's 🤣 tried to squirting catchup out of glass bottle but poured it all over my face... yep. Stupid stuff.. We practiced volleyball together, shot hoops together. Fished, swam and joked. In adult hood. We didn't see eachother after the passing of Uncle Glenn (her dad) much. But would talk when we could and it always seemed like it was yesterday we were together. Forever my heart will miss her and a piece of me went with her. I will love you forever cuz!!

There’s nothing but fun memories to look back on when thinking about Bev. She loved hard and treated everyone like they were her family. She’s one of the main reasons my little sister, Naomi, got into softball! I remember how much she supported and believed in her; going to her games, cheering her on, and even helping her practice. Bev really had a heart made of gold for everyone in her life. There isn’t a day that will go by that Bev or her family aren’t in my thoughts. I love you so much! ❤️🕊️

Dae I am not sure if you will remember but I am Geneva Burrows Grandma. Your momma was her softball coach. When she heard about a coach saying he would not even have Geneva on his team because of her running (she was born with a club foot) you wrote a letter to Geneva from your whole team letting Geneva know that you all were behind her and wouldn’t stand for anyone bullying her! I cannot even tell you just how much that meant to our family! You are amazing and I know just how proud your Momma is!! Sending all our love to your family and remember to always be yourself!

This was a shock to us all! So thankful Bev is no longer in pain. I can picture her playing softball in heaven. Marlon, Ty, Dae & Sunny we are specifically praying for you and will continue to. May all family and friends forever carry Bev's smile, strength, light, perseverance & kindness wherever you go.
