My adoration for this woman is beyond measure, and I aspire to be anything at all like her. She was always someone I looked forward to seeing, and her warmth and light could fill up any room. I really appreciated the way she kept her home tidy and decorated to perfection, which is a quality Wendy inherited; I like to think I ended up with a little touch of it, too! Her beautiful penmanship is also something I must mention, I treasure cards and notes from her. As a mother, she was tops. The pride she felt would beam from her any time she looked upon her family. I am so grateful that I was able to know Betty for all of these years. She has made an enormous impact on my life simply by being part of it.

Betty Jane became such a huge part of my life when I started working for her at The Salvation Army Food Program Warehouse in 1990 (or was in 1991?). She taught me so much about life, and most importantly, how to love coffee! I never knew anyone else who could be so completely put together and stay that way, including never a wrinkle or a speck of dust, when working in a literal warehouse. She was amazing.

Betty was one of those people that you respected and did not tease...but she always let me tease her and would laugh with me when I did.  I learned how to be organized with my space, how to treat others with respect no matter who they were or where they came from. She was such a special person who cared for others and treated everyone as if they were the most important person in the world. I worked with her for an amazing five years but she became a friend for life.

You will be very missed Betty Jane and I can't wait to see you again. I know you will be waiting to greet me in Heaven one day...and there will not be one bit of dust anywhere or anything out of place because it will be exactly as you always wanted it: Perfect!

Sending my condolences to Walt and family. I know Betty’s  Promotion to Glory is hard for those left behind. May you find peace knowing she is with her Savior.

Aunt Betty,

I will be forever grateful for our constant communication after my mama passed. You really helped me to get through a very tough season, while you were in your own tough season. I know that you and my Mama (your beloved sister Laura) are dancing together in Heaven as they have uninterrupted fellowship with their Savior.

"He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away." - Revelation 21:4

Betty was always so kind to me and she sent the best greeting cards!! I’m so grateful for the time we were able to spend together in Bend these past few years. May her memory be eternal! 💕

Eternal rest, grant unto them, O Lord,

and let perpetual light shine upon them.

May the souls of the faithful departed

through the mercy of God rest in peace.

Amen.

I am extremely sad to hear the news of Betty’s passing. I pray for her family for strength that she was a very kind person and enjoyed life. I was fortunate enough to know her and get to know her family as well. They are wonderful people I enjoyed sometimes at game night over at her house teasing her in fun
As a kind hearted person, Betty opened up her heart and home to someone that needed a place to live as a young adult. She has been a constant presence in my life by giving me my first job and being a mentor to me. Later on in life I had the pleasure of working with her as her assistant at The Salvation Army Food Programs for ten years. I learnt a lot from her. Betty I will never forget your kindness and love towards me. I was blessed to have you in my life.

My sincere sympathy to the Wycoff family.  I best remember Betty, when she helped plan a surprise visit from me, to see her daughter Wendy. That was a lot of fun. Wendy was so surprised!  I liked her calm spirit and her quiet presence in a room.  She will be forever missed and loved by many.
I first met Betty when Randee and Jake got married. That was a hectic celebration and I didn’t get to visit much with them. But a few years later, Jake, Randee, Brian and I were driving through town so we stopped in to have lunch with Betty and family. I enjoyed spending time with Betty, getting to know her and the family, everything she did in her life and how sweet and kind she was. I wish I had had more time to spend with her. I know she was a strong woman, with a strong faith, who cared so very much for her family and loved ones. Even in the short amount of time I got to spend with her, she left a lasting smile on my heart.
