In loving memory of Betty Dalinda Mosquera Vazquez, MD, a devoted physician by training, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who entered into eternal rest surrounded by love on January 15, 2026. Her life was a testament to service, compassion, and steadfast faith.

Born on May 30, 1936, in Ecuador, Betty was called early to a life of healing. She trained and practiced as an OB/GYN in Ecuador, dedicating her work to caring for women and families and welcoming countless children into the world.

In 1965, Betty immigrated to the United States and made her home in New York, trusting God’s leading as she built a new life. In 1966, she met Albert Vazquez, her husband and lifelong companion. Together, they shared 48 years of marriage, rooted in devotion, perseverance, and love, until his passing in 2014.

Betty Vazquez was the proud mother of Albert B. Vazquez and Kathryn C. Kmiotek, a cherished grandmother to Rebecca, Rachel, Samantha, John, Albert, and Andrew, and a loving great-grandmother to Avery and Noah. Her family was her greatest earthly blessing.

She lived for more than forty years in Queens, New York, and later in Centereach, New York, before relocating to Orlando, Florida, in 2022, which she called home in her later years. Wherever she lived, Betty was known for her strength, kindness, and deep care for others.

A woman of enduring faith, Betty trusted in God’s promises throughout her life. She now rests in the hope assured to believers: “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in Me will live, even though they die” (John 11:25).

Betty Vazquez will be remembered for her healing hands, her steadfast spirit, and the enduring legacy of love she leaves behind. She has left her imprint on many lives, and we honor and celebrate her life. She entered eternal rest on January 15, 2026, the same date she and her beloved husband, Albert, were married 59 years earlier, and is now reunited with him, embraced by the promise of everlasting life.

Con profundo amor recordamos a Betty Dalinda Mosquera Vazquez, MD, médica de formación, querida madre, abuela y bisabuela, quien partió en paz rodeada de amor el 15 de enero de 2026. Su vida fue un testimonio de servicio, compasión y fe constante.

Nacida el 30 de mayo de 1936 en Ecuador, Betty fue llamada desde temprana edad a una vida dedicada a la sanación. Se formó y ejerció como ginecóloga-obstetra en Ecuador, dedicando su trabajo al cuidado de mujeres y familias, y acompañando la llegada al mundo de innumerables niños.

En 1965, Betty emigró a los Estados Unidos y estableció su hogar en Nueva York, confiando en la guía de Dios mientras construía una nueva vida. En 1966, conoció a Albert Vazquez, su esposo y compañero de vida. Juntos compartieron 48 años de matrimonio, marcados por la entrega, la perseverancia y el amor, hasta el fallecimiento de Albert en 2014.

Betty Vazquez fue la orgullosa madre de Albert B. Vazquez y Kathryn C. Kmiotek, una abuela muy querida de Rebecca, Rachel, Samantha, John, Albert y Andrew, y una bisabuela amorosa de Noah y Avery. Su familia fue su mayor bendición en esta vida.

Vivió por más de cuarenta años en Queens, Nueva York, y posteriormente en Centereach, antes de mudarse a Orlando, Florida, en 2022, lugar que llamó hogar en sus últimos años. Dondequiera que vivió, Betty fue conocida por su fortaleza, bondad y profundo cuidado por los demás.

Mujer de fe firme, Betty confió en las promesas de Dios a lo largo de su vida. Hoy descansa en la esperanza dada a los creyentes: «Yo soy la resurrección y la vida; el que cree en mí, aunque esté muerto, vivirá» (Juan 11:25).
