Betty's obituary
We mournfully announce the passing of Betty Lou Sincomb, 71, of sunny Chaparral, NM. Betty died at Mesilla Valley Hospice and Palliative Care on July 23, 2023, after a hard-fought battle with lung cancer.
Betty, born to James Thomas Cassidy and Maxine Mozzel (Morgan) Cassidy, came into this world on October 21, 1951, in Shepphard Air Force Base Wichita Falls, Texas. She is preceded in death by her husband, Stanford Sincomb Jr. and son, Stanford Sincomb III . She is survived by her daughter, Gertrude Baker of California; son, Gordon Sincomb of New Mexico; daughter, Amanda Hughes of Maryland; sister, Darlene James Palmer of Texas; and her brothers, David Howard Cassidy and Timothy James Cassidy of Texas.
Betty was a proud grandmother to twelve grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was a long-time resident of El Paso, Texas before relocating to Chapparral, New Mexico. She enjoyed finding work where she could as a house cleaner, playing darts and pool with her friends. Betty was a very talented karaoke enthusiast and always had it in her for, "One more song!" In her down time, she loved to crochet handmade gifts while watching lifetime movies, she had a knack for decorating beautiful cakes, and she enjoyed caring for her animals.
Betty Sincomb was a strong woman who faced every challenge in her life with courage and dignity. She will be missed by all those who loved her and were touched by her.
