I am Bill Hyland's (Betty's brother) son Greg Hyland. Every year close to Christmas I received a card and letter from Betty. After not receiving a card this year I spoke to my mom Marge Hyland (turned 99, 9/16/23) and learned of Betty's passing. I am hoping that this very belated email is received by the family as I have a great photo of our family in Naples Florida with Betty, Howard and her brother Dean. The photo was taken over 30 years ago when my youngest daughter was around 6, now 36 and sons Cameron and Matthew now 46 and 42. Please feel free to email me and I will definitely respond. Where my condolences to the family are over 8 months old, the memories of Betty, a great grandmother, grandmother and mother remain for ever. God please Betty as well as all her brothers and sister. How life sometimes passes us by so quickly.

A fond farewell to my lovely and gracious friend and my deepest condolences to her family. Betty won so many dimes from me in our putting competitions! I will miss her and I feel blessed to have known her. She was special.

I met Betty at Grace Lutheran Church some time ago. I so enjoyed visiting with her after church services. She was one of the kindest, sweetest people I know and I can’t tell u how much I will miss our chats. Rest in peace, my friend. U will be missed by so many.
