Betty's obituary

Betty Ann Kinyoun, 74, of Helena, passed away on Thursday, March 21,2024 due to complications surrounding pancreatic cancer. She was buried in a private family service. A memorial service celebrating Betty's life will be held at Capital City Baptist Church's new location, 8169 Avocet Dr, Helena, MT 59602 on Saturday, March 30, 2024 at 2:00 PM with her son, Pastor Jason Bartosik, officiating. Flowers, remembrances, and donations may be sent to Capital City Baptist Church or in care of Pastor Bartosik at 292 Guthrie Lane, Helena, MT 59602 in her honor.

Betty was born October 27, 1949 and raised in Lincoln, MT, where she rode O-Mok-See and learned classical piano. She played timpani at Helena High School, where she graduated in 1967, and attended Rocky Mountain College in Billings before marrying Mark Bartosik in 1969. She later obtained an associate's degree in metallurgy from Helena College. Betty was a homemaker, raising four children while working odd jobs and volunteering in whatever way she could use her creative talents. She was active with her children in the Canyon Creek Stock 4-H club and often sewed costumes and created backdrops for church events and her children's theater productions. She passed along a lifelong love of the arts to her children and grandchildren.

The most important part of Betty's life was when she accepted Jesus Christ as her personal savior after a Billy Graham crusade in Anchorage, AK in the early 1960's. Betty raised her children to love the Lord and was actively involved in her local Baptist church. She encouraged her family to follow the Lord's calling in their lives and supported every decision in prayer. She deeply cared for others, letting her spiritual gift of mercy shine.

Betty is preceded in death by her parents, Donald Kinyoun and Mildred (nee Keil) Swann. She is survived by her children, John “Eric” Adams of Ore City, TX, Shanon (Ryan) Eff of Kalispell, MT, Jason (Tracy) Bartosik, Aaron Bartosik, and Adrienne “Beth” (Shamos) Beigh, all of Helena, MT; her brother John Kinyoun of Renton, WA; her grandchildren Tylor Bartosik, Megan Beigh, Tyler (Britney) Beigh, Amelia “Millie” Beigh, Keil Beigh, and Konrad Beigh; great grandchild Weston Beigh; and nieces/nephews Travis Croy, Jeremy (Michelle) Lee, Jennifer (Jeff) Shamley, Jana (Jake) Gruber, Sarah (Chris) Skjolsvik, Trevor Bartosik, David (Casey) Bartosik, and Melissa Kinyoun.
