I first met Betty when I was 16. She was my 2nd mom,  but always my friend.  We ran her restaurant together, she tried to pressure me into giving her a grandbaby - lol!! (I eventually gave her 2). I sat with her when she was sick and when she was in surgery.  I helped her move a few times.  I spent every holiday, birthday and just after work days visiting because that's what we did! I will miss you deeply.  Until we meet again.  I love you,  Marie

Momma Betty was an amazing woman that saw something special in me when I didn’t see it in myself… she took me in and fed me on holidays when I didn’t have anywhere else to go…even if it was just to pop in and get a plate or have sylena bring me one… she checked on me.. watched my facebook even as I drifted off emerging in my new life… I am sad for her family… they lost a beautiful soul that kept us all humble and loved… I love you momma Betty and I am sorry I didn’t get a chance to say goodbye.
