I work with Donna Bell. Donna is a wonderful, strong and caring person that I love like a sister. Donna often times talked of her aunt with great pride and love. I want to offer my condolences to the entire family. I will continue to pray for strength and comfort for all of you.
While nothing is harder than saying good-bye to someone who meant so much to this community, may we find strength in knowing that Betty will be a part of Aiken forever. With heartfelt sympathy.
I am so sorry to hear the news that you are no longer with us. You have been a blessing to me growing up in Aiken SC. Last year while visiting i stopped by Smith Hazel hoping that I would be able to see you. Which I did. I just wanted to thank you for being there for me growing up. You were as happy as I was on that day. You ask me to share my happiness to others in the center at that time. You will be greatly missed. May God bless you and your family. Thank you for your help and support from Stanley Parker😢 I will never forget about you.
This is a very hard pill to swallow, a very dear cousin, a community pillar, a lady that wore so many hats and meant so much to so many people. Betty Gyles, will truly be missed by so many family, friends and love ones. Take your Leo robe and Crown 👑 and Rest in Peace, you have fought a good fight and your race has been won.
My heart is broken and hurting at the passing of Betty. She was a driving force in the Aiken community and worked so hard as the Supervisor of the Smith-Hazel Recreation Center. This will leave a hole in the Aiken community that will never be filled. Betty was my friend, my sister friend, my mentor and my co-worker. She was one of the best and most genuine people I have ever met. I will miss you always, but I know all Heaven was rejoicing as they received you.
