Betty "Sissy" Dittes, known affectionately as Sissy, passed away peacefully on February 7, 2024, creating a void that cannot be filled. Born on January 17, 1953, Betty lived an extraordinary and fulfilling life.

Betty was predeceased by her father, LV “Alkie” Rackley, mother, Letha Cornwell, brothers Robert “Bob” and Larry Rackley, grandson CJ Ford, and her beloved husband, Philip Dittes. She is survived by her children; daughters Tia Dittes and Amy Coley, son Larry Testerman, and her brother, Chuck Cornwell. Betty's memory will also live on through her grandbabies; Kyle and Tyler Ford, Devon and Perry Testerman, Jena Lombardi and Zac and Alana Dittes, and Ryder Wilds.

She was a lifelong learner, almost graduating from The University Of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in 2007 with a degree in Nursing while she had already obtained 2 associate degrees. She stepped away from her RN degree completion to care for her husband Phil who battled cancer for 4 months before passing. Betty married Philip Dittes in 1983, and together they nurtured a loving family. Her family grew with the birth of her children in 1970, 1971, and 1988, and later she was blessed with the joy of being a grandmother between 1993 and 2014. She met Phil and traveled the world with him. They met in OK, while Phil was stationed in AZ. Shortly after she moved to VA, TX, S. Korea, Germany & HI all before coming back home in 2005. She and Phil bought their home in 1999 and this is where both she and Phil (2007) passed away.

Warm, witty, and loving, Betty loved simple pleasures like enjoying a cup of coffee, playing games on her phone, and spending time at the local Grand Casino. A fan of The Beatles and TV shows like OETA and Discovery, Betty often found peace in art, especially the works of Edgar Allan Poe. Purple was her favorite color, and she loved chasing after her grandson Ryder for exercise. She was an ardent supporter of Ryder's Teams. She loved to fish and more importantly spend time with family over everything else  

Betty's philosophy was that life will come as it chooses and it is up to you to decide how to proceed. Her constant learning and boundless love were some of her greatest accomplishments. Her legacy of kindness, thoughtfulness, and the emphasis on the importance of family will continue to inspire and guide her loved ones.

Betty's presence will be dearly missed by everyone who had the privilege to know her, whether for a lifetime or momentarily - she had that kind of effect. Her loved ones find comfort in knowing that her spirit lives on in the hearts of those she touched.
