Betty's obituary
Betty Dement, 53, of Huntington, WV, passed away on August 20, 2020 after suddenly becoming really weak and sick one day. She finally decided to go to the hospital where some unfortunate circumstances lead her to be with our loving father in heaven. Betty was a wonderful loving mother of oldest daughter Jana, middle son Bret and the baby sister Breanna it is heartbreaking that she had to leave us so suddenly and at such a young age but unfortunately her body and health was on a downward spiral. Betty passed early in the morning after suffering from 2 heart attacks back to back, the doctors stated there was nothing more they could do for her, we spent the last moments there close by her side for as long as possible n then we had to say our goodbyes.
Betty was born on May 5th, 1969 to Janice Sharron and Albert Wesley Dement in Ironton, Ohio. After leaving high school early due to a unexpected pregnancy in 1986 she went on to be the best young mother she could possibly be at such a young age of 17 , After the birth of her first child Betty done what any teenager would have done and she learned to be the best mother a girl could ever ask for.
She landed her first job as a bar tender for a bar called rag time for years.
In 1987, she met David williams and they fell in a love that lasted for 37 years going on to raise 2 other children, Bret Allen dement and Breanna margaret dement. Betty decided to dedicate her life to being a fantastic and wonderful mother and soul mate. Betty excelled at propping up her 3 intelligent and talented children and supporting them through the many passions and difficulties of their lives. Whether that was supporting Jana through highschool sports or nursing school, through supporting Bret on becoming the respectful handsome young man he is and Breanna through the amazing career she Excels at..... She made it her mission to improve the lives of others.
Betty was passionate over just about everything she done whether cooking, cleaning, decorating the Christmas tree or reading her beautiful children bedtime stories or singing them to sleep, and when she wasn’t filling her home with warmth and kindness, she could be found in her fluffy house robe either coloring or pilfering through her miniature this n that's in the living room or just simply being home with her family helping them at their favorite hobbys.... We will miss her greatly.
