Betty's obituary

Batty Jean Belveal (Lindstrom) a local business owner and resident of Bakersfield, CA since 1964 past away in her sleep on November 4th, 2020 at approximately 3:00 a.m. at the age of 99 years old.

Betty is survived by her sister Virginia Schulman age 97, her son Charles Bert Garrison age 72, and her son Douglas Scott Garrison age 71. She was preceded in her death by her husband Wesley Dean Belveal, her former husband and father of her two sons Berthal Neal Garrison, her father Charles Evert Lindstrom, and her mother Minnie Florence Lindstrom (Carlson).

Betty was born in Kewanee, Ill. on December 7th, 1920. She began her high school education at the age of 12 years old after having been advanced two years during her elementary education for her academic excellence. She graduated in 1937 from Manual High School located in Peoria, Ill. Betty, her father, mother and sister moved to Peoria during the depression where her father was able to find employment at the Caterpillar Tractor Company.

Betty moved from Peoria, Ill. to Bakersfield, Ca. in 1964 with her two sons. after having been involved in the family trucking business for a number of years as a bookkeeper and office manager. Upon her arrival in Bakersfield Betty went to work for her sister Virginia at Circus Liquor. After working at Circus Liquor for a number of years Betty purchased and managed businesses of her own.

Services will be conducted at a later date in Kewanee, Ill where her ashes will be scattered over the grounds of the family farm.
