She was beautiful and EVER LOVED..when your dad first met her, he brought her right over to our house at FT. MEADE so we could meet her..he lived in the barracks there because he was not married and he hung out with us at our house and was just like a brother to me and Jean..Betty became that sister to us..we met and went to Betty's mother's house in Baltimore..also met and hung out with her other family members..
JoAnne, Juicy and Joycie..out in Jessup..so Betty has been hanging in with us through the years of FT Meade, FT Ritchie, FT Myers ...Jean and I came back to ANDREWS AFB in 1976 Jewel and Betty & Eric were living off base near FT MYERS ,VA and we spent the night with JEWEL & BETTY so I could sign in for duty the next day..and man BETTY was always a good cook..so we really enjoyed our stay..then we moved on ANDREWS AFB and had cookouts at our house every holiday .and BETTY, JEWEL , ERIC & CLIFTON were always there..BETTY has been with us since she was about 19 years old..she will be dearly missed..RIP Betty..

Eric, JoAnn and the rest of my family I am deeply saddened by the death of my big cousin Betty. Betty had a sweet, kind and gentle spirit. My fondest memories where the summer’s I spent with her and Jewel in Virginia watching my little cousins Eric & Clifton. Death has a way of crushing your soul deep down to the core. It seems like you’re not going to make it another day. Betty died on my birthday. But thanks be to God our Father we’ll make it. Rest easy Betty give my momma a kiss for me love you forever.

I just wanted to let you know that you meant the world to me. Only a heart as big as yours would give so unselfishly. All the many things you’ve did, and all the times you were there helps me know deep down inside how much you really cared. Even though I might not say I appreciate all you did. I am truly blessed to have had a mother- in -law just like you.
