Bette Pickrel, 100, of Gladstone, MO passed away peacefully on January 23, 2024, surrounded by her family and loved ones. Bette was born in Ft. Worth,Texas, and during her lifetime lived in Missouri, Kansas and Arkansas. She worked at Price Brother’s Property Management for 17 years before retiring in 1985. Bette was a devoted Christian who enjoyed needle point, traveling, singing in the church choir, and spending quality time with her loved ones. Bette will be dearly missed and always remembered.

Bette was preceded in death by her husband, Charles “Pic” Pickrel, and her son Charles “Charlie” Pickrel. She is survived by her daughter, Marilyn Pickrel, her daughter-in-law, Diane Pickrel; grandchildren Sandra Olivarez, Chuck Pickrel and wife Lara, Laina Pickrel, Alison Schibig and husband Nathan; great-grandchildren Angelica Loyce Tway and husband Josh, Lexie Olivarez and partner Michael, CJ Olivarez, and Violet Pickrel; and great-great-grandson Silas Tway. Bette’s wish was to have a celebration of life to allow family and friends to share their memories of her. We request all of Bette’s loved ones to join us in celebrating her beautiful life at Hillcrest Christian Church, Overland Park, Kansas on February 3, 2024 at noon.
