Beth Tracy, 71, of Bolingbrook, IL passed away on Tuesday, July 18, 2023 at AdventHealth Bolingbrook Hospital.

Born in 1952 to Wilbur and Dorothy Tracy, Beth and her former spouse, Wayne Schneidman, had 3 children together, who they adored. Beth is survived by: daughter Jen Schneidman Partica (Harvey Partica) of Lewisburg, PA; daughter Kimberly Schneidman of Glenview, IL; son Jeff (Beth) Schneidman of Sterling Heights, MI, granddaughter Elva Partica of Lewisburg, PA, and many friends. Beth Tracy is predeceased by her parents, Wilbur and Dorothy Tracy.

She was an only child and grew up on a farm in Duncan, IL. Her mom’s love of music and cooking left a lasting impression on Beth, while her dad’s vegetable garden no doubt inspired her own. Beth loved learning and was valedictorian of her senior high school class in Wyoming, IL.

She went on to complete a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at Bradley University in three years. At Bradley, her love of music grew as she played flute in the band. Some things that brought Beth great joy in life included jazz music, gardening, cooking Emeril Lagasse’s recipes, and snuggling her cats. She was dedicated to her morning Jazzercise class for years, getting up before 6am and swimming in water below 60 F. She took great pride in cooking and hosting Thanksgiving dinners at her home in Bolingbrook.

Beth also enjoyed the outdoors. As a lifelong member of Girl Scouts, she went canoeing and camping at the Boundary Waters and learned to volunteer for her community. When her children joined the Camp Fire Boys and Girls, Beth became an active leader and made many friends. She continued to volunteer for community and school organizations throughout her life, with an emphasis on nature and children. This helped her become a great special education Teacher’s Aide at Valley View School District.

Beth has left a lasting impression on her family and community. She will be missed.
