Beth's obituary

Beth Ann (Dyson) Hamm, 65, of Lusby, MD, passed away on Friday, December 31, 2021, with her loving husband by her side.

Beth, born on July 29, 1956 to James K. and Sophie Dyson in Washington D.C. , immediately brought joy and laughter into the world. She was the only daughter and had three older brothers, Jimmy, Keith and Bobby.

On April 9, 1973, she met Gary Allan Hamm on a blind date and the two were inseparable from that point on. Gary and Beth were married for 45 years and had 3 children, Gary Jr., Kimberly and Jimmy.

Beth loved animals and shared her home with so many over the years. She also loved to sew, making beautiful quilts and other gifts for many friends and family. Beth was a dedicated mom to her children and a loving Grandma. Family came first and was above all else to Beth, a value she instilled in all those around her. The hole left by her absence is impossible to fill.

Beth was preceded in death by her parents, James and Sophie Dyson and her brothers Jimmy Dyson and Bobby Dyson. She is survived by her husband, Gary A. Hamm Sr., her children Gary (Aimee) Hamm, Kimberly Hamm and Jimmy Hamm, her 5 beautiful grandchildren that she adored, Courtney, Mikaela, Elijah, Joshua and Zoe, and her brother Keith (Kris) Dyson as well as many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Life will take place on March 5, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Full Gospel Assembly of God in Prince Frederick, MD.
