Beth's obituary
If you knew Beth Brazill, you loved being around her. Though it was very out of character to leave a party early, she departed too soon on February 25, 2025, just three days shy of her 75th birthday.
Beth Lee Keller was born on February 28, 1950 in Philadelphia, PA to Howard and Ruth (née Schultz) Keller. She spent her youth on South Dewey Street, and her time in Southwest Philly brought her the love of her life, William Robert Brazill, and countless life-long friendships. In 1979, Bill and Beth settled down in Prospect Park, PA to raise their family in the perfect party house on a corner lot adjacent to Park Square.
Beth loved hosting everyone (and we mean everyone, you were probably invited) at Brazillville. She celebrated any occasion, from the 4th of July parade, to a concert in the park, or simply great weather for a party in the front yard. Beth always found a reason to gather together, and was sure to provide the best music, cocktail recipes, and themed party favors. We can still hear her unmistakable laughter echoing all around her.
In addition to maintaining close ties to her oldest neighborhood friends, Beth made new ones everywhere she went. Guaranteed, she was the most popular person you knew. Her warmth made you feel like you were friends your whole life. She was many things to many people, but her favorite was “BMom” to her grandchildren (and probably your grandchildren, too). They just loved their time together, and could be found working on a puzzle, playing a boardgame, or watching their favorite shows. And BMom always had treats in her bag for her favorite kids and pets.
Though her departure leaves us brokenhearted, she is finally reunited with Bill after too much time apart. Beth was predeceased by her husband, William Robert Brazill; her parents, Howard and Ruth Keller; and many dear friends. Beth is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Amy Brazill-Rann and Teddy Rann; son and daughter-in-law, William Brazill and Sarah Brazill; grandchildren Finn William Brazill and Cormac Thomas Brazill; godchildren, Heather Broadley and Michael Summers; and an incredible network of dear friends.
BMom loved a party on the water, so please wear something tropical (seriously, the more colors, palm trees, and flamingos, the better) and join us for a Celebration of Life on April 5, 2025 from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the West End Boat Club in Essington, PA. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Beth’s name to your favorite charity.
