A long time ago, when I first married Bertie's brother-in-law, Chuck (Jerry's brother) we would all get together and play "42". I wasn't very good because i'd never played it before. Bertie was very patient with me and taught me how to play. She and I would get together and bake a cake or a pie to eat while we played "42". 

After Lisa was born we sewed baby clothes together. Bertie was a good seamstress. When Lisa was older and started playing with Barbies we sewed Barbie clothes. I enjoyed sewing with Bertie
