(Birtha Powell) Bertha Powell-Washington was born in Helena, Arkansas on November 17, 1950. She was the daughter of George Powell Jr. a 25-year-old toner for Faust Band Saw Mill in Arkansas and 17-year-old Arneste Williams (Arnetsia Wiliams) from Arkansas.
Bertha was joined in matrimony to Mr. Ed Washington on May 14, 1971. They had 5 children, three boys and two girls who are left to mourn her passing.
