Bert went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus on January 16, 2021. Bert was born on April 24, 1924 to Carl and Gertrude Lanquist. He is preceeded in death by his parents Carl and Gertrude Lanquist and his wife Gladys. Also his brothers and sisters: Elemer, Carl, Helen, Robert, Donald, Wilber, Eugene and Suzy (Gladys) . Bert leaves behind his two children, Cheryl and Paul. On Cheryl's side she leaves behind, Cheryl and her husband Frank Long. along with their children, Jason, Joy & Tyler (Storey), Joshua, Zachary and Faith. On Paul's side he leaves behind, Paul and wife, Leslie, Debbie Lanquist and children, Rayanna, Bert and Scott, 6 great grandchildren.

Bert and his brothers and sisters where all talented in wood working. Most of them were able to do amazing cabinetry work and Bert worked as a cabinet maker in southern California until he retired from doing custom cabinetry. All of the brothers and sisters could tell who made what cabinets in each others homes.

Bert attended Brentwood Church of the Nazarene in Bakersfield during the time of raising his family.
Bert drove a Sunday School bus. He sang in the choir and was an usher at church. Later Bert and Gladys moved to Madras, Oregon to live with their son there. Madras is where he passed away. Bert would have been 97 in April of 2021.
