I was just thinking tonight about the shared memories, and that I had the privilege to be with Bernie in Philly the night the Phillies won the World Series. We saw Tokyo Police club a band, introduced to me by Bernie. I will forever remember the feeling of the city that night, the excitement. That moment was perfect; it was everything Bernie wanted. The atmosphere was exactly like Bernie’s character and personality- warm, inviting, exuberant and infective. You will be missed so much Bernie.

My heart aches for the loss of Bernie. I know his pain was deep. I hoped he would be able to overcome it. But, alas, no. I pray he is in peace and out of his pain standing with his beloved Mariesa by his side. I know they both will look over the girls from above. I pray for Great Spirit to bless and keep them in the loving Light of Heaven. I pray for Julia and Violet to know how loved they were and still are. I pray for them to have the courage to face each day with confidence and joy. I pray for his family to be able to accept this unimaginable tragedy; have the strength to overcome this loss and lovingly guide Julia and Violet on their journey through life.
