Gayle Price (Bernice Gayle Owen Price), age 75, passed away on July 27, 2025, after a long illness, surrounded by her family.

Born on June 14, 1950, in Kankakee, Illinois, Gayle spent most of her life in Nashville, Tennessee, before moving to Knoxville to be closer to her daughter’s family. For the last two years, she made her home with her daughter and son-in-law, cherishing every moment spent together.

She is survived by her sister, Glenda Harber; daughter Amy (Stewart) White; grandchildren Abby (John) Terenzio, Jenna (Stan) Pickering, Tanner White, and Rosey White; great-grandson Harry, with whom she shared a birthday; nephews David, Glenn, and Dwayne Harber and their families. She was preceded in death by her beloved pets, Romeo and Juliet, who brought her great comfort and joy.

Gayle worked for many years as a salesperson for a commercial chemical company and later at Kohl’s, where she formed lasting friendships with her “Kohl’s team,” whom she deeply missed after illness kept her from working. She will be remembered for her warmth, quick wit, and the way she made everyone feel welcome.
