Bernice Evans, a warm and sweet woman, passed away on April 10, 2023. Born in Alexandria, VA, USA on September 19, 1922, she was 100 years old. Bernice touched many lives throughout her long and fulfilling life.

She dedicated her professional life to teaching, where her passion for education and nurturing young minds brought inspiration and encouragement to countless students. Her natural warmth and sweetness were felt by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Outside of her work life, Bernice had a variety of hobbies that brought her joy. She loved painting, shopping, and reading books. These pastimes were an integral part of her life and a source of relaxation for her.

Bernice is survived by her loving granddaughter, Toniaya Evans, who will miss her dearly. Her memory will be cherished by her family and friends alike.

A memorial service for Bernice Evans will be held on April 14, 2023, at 2:00PM at the Harvest Assembly Baptist Church. All who knew her are welcome to join and celebrate her life, as well as share memories and stories of the wonderful person she was.
