I would like everyone who cared for my father to know that he passed peacefully and without pain, struggle or fear. I am absolutely honored to have been given the opportunity to be by his side until the very end. He was such a challenging man to deal with...alright he was a real asshole... but, I wouldn't change a thing. Would you?? So let's choose to remember the good times. Let's remember his strength, his wisdom (he was my "Google" before there was "Google"!)... his bravery and his sense of adventure. Let's remember the tough little boy from Watervliet, NY that truly made something of himself! There will never be another one like him.
So wherever you are Dad, we love you. Give all the dogs kisses for us.
