Thank Goodness that my father has a real grave stone in a real cemetery, because website memorials seem very very impersonal and impermanent.  What happens to Dad's memorial when they end the site?  Who owns the data?

I personally think my father would not like to be memorialized in this way but he didn't give any direction as to his preferred method of memorialization apart from having a grave site and memorial in a church, which we honored.

It appears only two others memorialized him on this site, that's disappointing in itself except it shows that websites are a poor replacement for gravesites.

I miss my father alot and wished he had not left us so soon, life is the one gift that cannot be replaced and should be valued as long as it lasts, good or bad.  I understand his reasoning and his choice but I can't say I agree with it.  He was not happy with his situation but there is always an opportunity to make someone else happy in your life and that is worth staying around for,  at least that's what I think.

When I leave this world I doubt anyone will notice and less will care.  It will be as if I hadn't even existed, and does any of that even matter.  Nothing in this world will last, enjoy it while you can.

Our sympathy to Theresa and her dear family at this time of loss of husband and father.  He was a caring person and a teacher to his children.  He was a gifted person in so many areas and passed that talent on to his children.  We look forward to seeing you in Nebraska.     Love from Janie and family
Bernie was a great man and will be missed. He was so helpful in our various house projects. But overall a great father, grandfather, and father-in-law.
