Bernard's obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mr. Bernard Myszkowski, who left us on January 28, 2024. Born on June 6, 1977, Bernard "Bernie" graced our lives with love, humor, and the gift of his rich spirit.
Bernie is survived by his loving mother, Kathleen Myszkowski, his father, Bernard Myszkowski, and his siblings, Sarah Hedberg, David Myszkowski, Lisa Payne, and Patricia Bockelmann. He was sadly predeceased by his nephew, Lucas Hedberg.
Bernard was a quiet connoisseur of life's simple pleasures. He relished a good cup of iced tea or coffee and derived immense pleasure from the narratives of Stephen King. A devoted fan of The Beatles and Nirvana, Bernie often found solace in their music. His favorite TV shows were SVU and various cooking shows, and he had a fondness for the cinematic mastery of Alfred Hitchcock.
Beyond his favorite local movie theater, Bernie's preferred venue was the great outdoors where he indulged in drawing and fishing, or simply enjoyed quality time with his family. A man of simple tastes, Bernie was very fond of blue, a color as deep and multi-faceted as his personality.
Remembered fondly as a funny man, Bernie always maintained a positive outlook on life. He was renowned for his generosity, often going out of his way to help anyone in need. Bernie was a beacon of forgiveness and positivity, always reminding others that "it could be worse".
Among his many accomplishments, he was particularly proud of his talents as an artist. However, it was Bernie's innate ability to touch the lives of those around him that marked his greatest achievement. His loss leaves a void that cannot be filled, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
Bernie's irreplaceable presence will be deeply missed, but his lessons of forgiveness and positivity remain as an indelible legacy. In these difficult times, we take comfort in the knowledge that his life was a beacon of light for many, and his memory will continue to inspire us all.
