Bernard's obituary

Bernard C. Durham,  born 3/19/1936  passed away on April 5, 2020 from COVID-19. He was preceded in death by his beloved partner, Jose L. Anselmi and his three brothers, Milton, Wendell and Russell. Bernie is survived by his  niece Anita Ronald, cousins Rita Hacker and Diana Kay Garvey. He also leaves behind his wonderful long term friends Mary Wadsley, who was always there for him, and Martha Seymour, also part of his extended family. Bernie was the first of his family to go to college and he earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree and a Law Degree. He left northern Kentucky as a young man and made his way to New York City. There he practiced law for most of his adult life. His work mainly benefitted the less fortunate members of society. Bernie was an intelligent, witty, and caring man who lived life fully. He was able to experience love, fulfilling work, world travel, and many enduring and strong friendships. He will be greatly missed.
