Benny's obituary
It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Benny Dean. Born on October 17, 1974, Benny left us too soon on January 15, 2025. A loving father, devoted brother, and cherished family member, Benny's memory will forever be etched in our hearts.
Benny's life was enriched by the love of his children; daughters Alexis and Haley Dean, and sons Brandon, Brett, and Blake Dean. Despite the distance created by his divorce from Brandy Dean in 2024, Benny's ex-wife remained an integral part of his life. The bond of brotherhood he shared with Jamie and Lance Dean will be remembered fondly, as will be the relationship with his sister-in-law Janaka Dean.
The joys of being an uncle to Amber Cutshall and Trent Dean were not lost on him. Benny was also blessed to have known the joy of being a grandfather, to his grandchild Collin Dalton. His family extends to include his daughter-in-law, Kayla Smith and his son in law Keith Torrence.
Benny was predeceased by his parents, Margarette and Benny Dean Sr., whose love and teachings continue to guide him in the life beyond.
With a zest for life, Benny's interests were diverse. A devoted fan of 'Supernatural' and 'The Walking Dead', Benny also had an ear for music, his favorite being 'Something in the Orange.' His love for sports was evident in his unwavering support for the Steelers. Benny's culinary preferences were inclined towards Mexican cuisine and Coke Zero. His favorite vacation destination was the beach, and the color blue resonated deeply with him. He enjoyed playing his guitar and singing until his stroke made it harder for him.
Benny's life note would be incomplete without mentioning the significant milestones of his life. He married Brandy Dean in 2002, marking the beginning of a new chapter. This union was blessed with the birth of their children Alexis on October 18, 2003, Brandon on August 7, 2006, Brett on October 3, 2011, and Blake on November 23, 2015. Despite the strains that led to his divorce in 2024, these moments form an integral part of Benny's journey and legacy.
As we mourn the loss of Benny Dean Jr., let us celebrate his life and the love he shared with us. His memory lives on in our hearts and through the lives of his children and family.
We will be having a celebration of life for him at Crossroads Assembly of God.
