Happy and warm holidays to all who read this. On December 23, 2019, my Grandfather Bennie Joe Yarborough, better known as Grandpa Bennie Joe, passed away from a Heart attack. Unfortunately, because he recently changed insurance companies in February 2019, we are unable to receive the benefits to pay for his funeral. After speaking to a representative from his insurance company Americo I was informed it can take months to receive benefits if we receive anything. This is because he passed within the two years of purchasing the insurance. This has left the Yarborough and Perry families to depend on the kindness of others at this time.
The Perry and Yarborough family want to make sure the homegoing for Grandpa Bennie Joe is one he deserves. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Mr. Yarborough was one of the sweetest people you could ever meet. His jokes would light up any heart and his laugh would light up any room he was in. Mr. Yarborough was a hard-working man who deserves to be laid to rest with dignity. He was a truck driver for 36 years. One of my fondest memories of my grandfather was when my cousins and I were younger and would signal for him to honk the horn of his truck. It would make us all giggle. My grandfather seemed like a giant in his truck as we looked up at him from my grandmother’s car.
His widow, my grandmother, is legally blind and on a fixed income. She is unable to pay for the entirety of grandpa’s funeral. Her goal is to provide the funeral arrangements a man like Mr. Yarborogh deserves. With your contribution, we can make that happen.
