We deeply regret to announce the passing of Bennie Thompkins, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and a radiant source of joy, who departed from this life on October 24, 2025. Born on March 8, 1960, Bennie's life was a vibrant tapestry of love and laughter, knitting bonds of family and friendship that will outlive his physical presence.

A man always characterized by happiness, Bennie was an embodiment of constant sunshine. He had an uncanny ability to find joy in the simplest things and shared that infectious happiness with everyone around him. His life was a testament to the belief that happiness is a choice that we consciously make every day.

Bennie leaves behind a grief-stricken but enduringly strong family, including his loving daughter Natasha Thompkins, his delightful grandchildren, Hannah Johnson, Haley Johnson, and Jayvon Johnson. He also leaves a legacy of love in the hearts of his brother Anthony Thompkins, and sister, Carol Thomas.

Bennie was predeceased by his dear mother, Marideth Thompkins, cherished father, Bennie Thompkins, and his angelic daughter, Makayla Thompkins, who no doubt were there to welcome him with loving arms in the life beyond.

Bennie was a wise soul who imparted the valuable lessons of staying true to oneself and treating others the way one wishes to be treated. As we mourn his departure, we also celebrate the remarkable life he led and the profound wisdom he shared. His teachings remain in our hearts, guiding us forward in a world where his physical presence is deeply missed.
