It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Benjamin Siakpere who departed this world on November 11, 2023. Born in 1970, Benjamin lived a life marked by dedication, intelligence, and loving patience. As a man of God, he served as a volunteer at his church, where his commitment and giving nature were on full display.

Benjamin had an array of interests and favourites in life. His palate was fond of Eugusi Soup and he took pleasure in sipping Cola. His literary tastes were drawn to works by Nigerian authors, particularly enjoying novels by Achebe. He wasn't much of an enthusiast for movies; however, he found solace in the music of Bob Marly, gospel songs, and the melody he created while playing piano for the church. This musical inclination coincided with his creative side, often seen when he crafted unique piano notes.

A fan of WWF wrestling, Benjamin also enjoyed recreational activities such as golf, and found peace in jogging and walking as his preferred means of staying fit. With a zest to explore the world, Benjamin held a desire for travel with every vacation becoming a new adventure. He found beauty in the color lilac, a hue that mirrored his gentle and soothing personality.

A man of benevolence, he harbored a deep concern for the youth and ministry in Nigeria, a cause to which he dedicated considerable time and effort. Benjamin was a torchbearer of valuable life lessons, championing the belief in realizing one's potential through God.

One of his most remarkable accomplishments was when he moved from West Nigeria to the USA to become a nurse, an achievement resulting from his relentless determination and perseverance. His legacy was one of hope-"Nigeria will be great again", an affirmation he held dear. He was a beacon of divine light in the lives of his family, particularly his beloved wife, Valerie Faulckes.

Today, as we mourn his loss, we also celebrate the remarkable life he led. The love and blessings God bestowed upon him are reflected in his children, a legacy that will continue to reside in our hearts. Benjamin Siakpere, a name synonymous with faith, love, and relentless spirit, will be greatly missed.
