Benjamin's obituary

Benjamin Joseph Shannon of Caddo Mills, Texas passed away suddenly on June 24, 2022

Ben was born July 18,1982 in Manassas, Virginia. He graduated from Granby High School in Norfolk, Virginia in 2000. He earned his degree in Electronics Engineering Technology in 2014 from ECPI in Virginia Beach, Virginia which led him to his career at Texas Instruments in Dallas, Texas.

Ben was passionate about his dogs, having up to seven at times. He also enjoyed traveling, motorcycles and RC airplanes. But his true passion was flying. He spent every hour that the weather permitted on his paramotor. He rode with so many friends in the Texas Wind Riders. His help and passion will be missed.

Ben was preceded in death by his mother, grandfather, great grandparents and a nephew.

Those left behind to celebrate his life are his father and “bonus” mom Ken and Jackie Shannon, his siblings Keith (April) Harnois, Jennifer (Bradley) Bard and Christina Hogan, and a great aunt Susan Shannon Layton. He will also be missed by a grandmother, a grandfather, 4 nieces, 2 nephews and countless aunts, uncles and cousins.

A celebration of his life will be held at a future date. In lieu of flowers please consider a contribution in Ben’s name to a local animal shelter.
