Benjamin's obituary

Benjamin David Pratt, 40, of Winter Springs, Florida entered God’s eternal presence on July 2, 2025.

Ben was born on June 22, 1985 in Albany, New York and grew up in Somerset, Massachusetts. He attended New England Christian Academy and Somerset High School, graduating in 2003. He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Aviation from Liberty University in 2007. While at Liberty he met and fell in love with his future wife, Lindsey.

He pursued a career as a commercial airline pilot, flying for Atlantic Southeast Airlines and Frontier Airlines, where he was promoted to Captain in 2021. Ben also enjoyed his time at Frontier Airlines serving as an instructor in the flight simulator for incoming pilots.

When he was not in the sky, Ben loved golfing, fishing, baseball and being a husband and a father to his two children, Eli and Emi. One of his favorite things to do was helping coach his son’s baseball teams and attending his daughter’s dance performances.

Ben loved friendly competition, games and practical jokes. Exuding energy and fun, he was never one to sit still. His lasting influence on others was apparent as people representing every chapter of his life travelled from around the country to spend time with him during his final weeks. Family was a constant in his life from beginning to end, and he spent his final moments surrounded by his closest loved ones.

Ben is survived by his loving wife, Lindsey (Norcutt) Pratt and their children Eli, 9, and Emilia, 6, parents Ari Ben Avraham and Joyce Pratt of Georgetown, FL, sister Rebecca Thompson [spouse Neal, son Gabriel] of Fernandina Beach, FL, and grandma Ruth Pratt of New London, NH.

The family will be holding a Celebration of life in both Florida and Massachusetts at a future date still be to determined.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to The Masters Academy in honor of Ben. The Masters Academy, where Eli and Emilia attend school, has been a tremendous source of strength, support, and community for our entire family. Over the past year, the school and its people have meant more to us than words can express.
