Benjamin “Ben” Despres, 45 years old, of North Olmsted Ohio passed away at St. John’s Hospital in Westlake, Ohio after his yearlong battle with cancer. Benjamin was born to Lissa Turner and Mark Despres, in Worcester, Massachusetts in 1978. Benjamin grew up in the towns of Merrimac and Newburyport and was a member of the Pentucket Regional High School graduating class of 1996. Ben then continued his education at Salem State College (now Salem State University), receiving a bachelor’s degree in psychology. Benjamin "Ben" was a very talented singer/songwriter and spent most of his life playing music at multiple venues and doing what he loved. Benjamin is survived by his loving family - brothers Nathaniel, Gabriel, Justin, and Collin, sister Jessica, as well as nephews and nieces Noah, Brooke, Madison, Alex, Jonathan, Dylan, Samantha, Linnea, Reese, Prudence, and Noa Woods.

There will be a memorial and celebration of Ben’s life sometime this summer, which will be announced on social media.
